Renovation

We were in a holding pattern for about a week and a half. Pete and I made a last minute change on the floor plan right before construction was to happen. One night after several glasses of wine we had the epiphany to move the kitchen to the dining room. Because we had already had approval from the HRC and historic tax credit folks for the original plan, we had to get re-approved. It took about a week to get the final approval for the tax credit. There main concern was moving or tearing down the fireplace in the dining room, removing any original trim, and the biggie..changing the windows. We were able to plan around all of this, so it looks like a go.

Today the crew has started back with construction. The focus this week is venting for the HVAC, plumbing, and roughing in for the drywall. Next week, they'll start electrical and drywall.

Stay tuned!
